MED COLOURS (Mediterranean Collaborative Logistics for the Urban Space) is a 30 months EU Project (01/01/24 – 30/06/26) co-funded by the Interreg Euro-MED programme.
MED COLOURS is coordinated by the Institute for Transport and Logistics Foundation in Emilia Romagna region aims at upscaling to a new generation of urban logistics and planning enabling the transition to decarbonised and smart cities. By developing new Sustainable Urban Logistics Plans (SULPs), MED Cities will plan resilient, sustainable, integrated, and collaborative innovation-driven solutions for the Functional Urban Areas (FUAs). This would help reducing the negative impacts of freight and logistics activities.
The project involves six cities in the MED area: Livorno, Cesena, Thessaloniki, Koper, Lisbon and Lyon. During the project, five pilot actions will be carried out and six SULPs will be developed, adapted to the specific needs of the cities. These initiatives will serve as a model for other Mediterranean cities that intend to adopt sustainable logistics practices.
MemEx is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the pilot activities of the six cities as well as analysing the transferability of the implemented solutions in other areas.
The project total budget is € 2.667.400 co-financed at 80% by the INTERREG EURO-MED programme
