On the 13th of February MemEx, as external expert, attended the international training course organized in Brussels by the EU project CONNECT2CE which has been funded within the INTERREG Central Europe initiative. The project is at the end of users needs analysis. It aims to identify the main barriers and constraints for the achievement of integration/interoperability/comodality of Public Transport services across the borders of the involved countries and define appropriate pilot actions to be demonstrated during the project. The project focuses on three main strands which was reflected in the course activities: service planning and contracting, integrated ticketing and innovative ITS solutions. Related to the second strand, MemEx presented some guidelines and recommendations for the design of interoperable e-ticketing systems and integrated fare.
