On 7 and 8 June MemEx participated to ITS European Congress which took place in Glasgow at SECC Conference & Exhibition Centre SECC, in the impressive waterfront alongside the Clyde river. The event was a milestone to be part of the international trends for transport and mobility, to identify new research and innovation areas and to check the state of art of the technological solutions supporting mobility services, in particular for the monitoring and regultion of traffic and parking and the management of logistics services. In particular MemEx attended technical sessions and informal meetings on Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) organized by different stakeholders: Ertico, MaaS Finland e MaaS Scozia. Added to MaaS, the most relevant trends deal with ITS cooperative systems, platform for data and service integration on different transport modes and autonomus vehicles.

Related to MaaS, the technical sessions are still at the beginning, the interest in the solutions are wide but the work to be done is big and it will be recommended to define intermediate short and medium term steps  starting from the integration ay city level. To be highlighted that PT staekeholders are still not duly represented in the MaaS promoters committees. Related to the autonomous vehicles it is not trivial how these initiatives could coexist with the improvement of sustainable mobility and the enhancement of the Public Transport.
